ألف ومئتان وأربعة وثلاثون
From 3 to 10, the numeral takes the opposite gender of the counted noun. With a masculine noun use ثلاثة كتب; with a feminine noun use ثلاث سيارات.
Arabic changes the scale word with the count: ألف، ألفان، ثلاثة آلاف. The same pattern applies to مليون، مليار، and تريليون.
The decimal point is read as فاصلة, then each digit is read separately: 12.5 → اثنا عشر فاصلة خمسة.
Currently using the masculine agreement. The choice only changes the final group; thousands, millions, and larger groups always agree with their masculine scale noun.
